Q: My clutch is an automatic adjustment clutch, can it still be adjusted?
No they cannot be adjusted but they can be reset. When you push the clutch pedal down it will go back to the automatic adjustment position. If the clutch still slips it will have to be replaced.
Q: Does my road tractor have to be state and federally inspected?
It does require both inspections if the unit runs within the state boundaries (intra-state). If it is operated outside the state boundaries it only requires a federal inspection.
Q: I want to make sure I’m covered under my truck warranty, do I have to go to the dealer to be covered for maintenance?
No, There is a law that says so long as the maintenance required is performed your manufacturer must honor your warranty. Magnus Moss Act of 1975. Your manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because they did not perform the maintenance service. To have a repaired performed under warranty this does need to be done by an authorized dealer of the manufacturer.
Q: How often do I really need to have my oil changed?
A lot of manufacturers of our new heavy duty trucks have extremely high oil change intervals but you should remember that when the warranty runs out you still have the same engine that had its oil changed at those extremely intervals. We recommend having your oil changed every 12,000 – 16,000 miles.
Q: How much should I be paying for oil changes?

Yes, the automatic adjustment is only meant to keep the brakes within manufacturer specification between services. Proper lubrication is crucial for the automatic slack adjuster operation.
Q: How often should windshield wiper blades be replaced?
They should be changed as needed. There is no set time that they should be changed. Anytime they obscure vision they should be replaced.
Q: How much should a water pump cost?
This is dependent on the engine manufacturer, prices range greatly and depends on the style of the pump. We use manufacturer quality or greater after market parts for a more economical or trust worthy repair.
