What types of vehicles does American Fleet Service work on?
Light to heavy duty vehicles, including semi trucks, tractor trailers, school buses, delivery or moving vans, truck-mounted forklifts, and trailers.
Do you service the refrigeration on refrigerated trailers?
We do not service the refrigeration on refrigerated trailers, but we do service everything else on the trailer.
Do you service specialty equipment?
Yes, including boom lifts, dump truck hydraulics, lift gates, box trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and buses.
What repair services do you offer for trucks?
We handle clutch, brakes, engine repair and diagnostics, engine rebuilds, transmission, driveline, emissions, cooling or HVAC, diagnostics, electrical, suspension, and preventive maintenance.
Do you offer fleet-level services like mobile repairs?
Yes, we provide preventive maintenance, mobile repair, welding or fabrication, boom lifts, hydraulic and lift gate services, and truck and trailer storage.

Yes, we conduct State and Federal DOT inspections and can repair issues onsite.

What is included in your courtesy check?
Every vehicle receives a free, full-vehicle safety check.
Do you have a loyalty program?
Yes!, Fleets and Owner Operators receive a percentage back on all invoices.
What is your Driver Concierge Service?
Our Driver Concierge Service arranges rides for local and out-of-town drivers.
Who uses the Driver Concierge Service most often?
It is especially helpful for fleet managers handling vehicles locally and from outside the Hampton Roads area and for independent owner-operators traveling through.
Location and Coverage
How large is your service area?
We cover a 100 mile radius from Portsmouth, including Norfolk, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, and parts of the Outer Banks, NC.
Policies and Facilities
What are your storage rates?
Light-duty is $100 per month or $30 per week. Heavy-duty is $125 per month or $40 per week.
